Brunda is a lawyer, a legal consultant, and an accredited mediator. She holds a B.A., LL.B. (Hons) degree from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, a BCL from the University of Oxford, UK, and an LLM from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (Upenn), USA where she was a Dean’s Scholar. She has pursued the study of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) including mediation and International Dispute Settlement, in her undergraduate courses in NLSIU, and as a graduate student in Oxford University and Upenn. As a part of the Mediation Clinic in Upenn, she has co-mediated disputes in Philadelphia, USA. Brunda is an accredited mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI), and the International Mediation Institute (IMI). She has also completed the ODR course offered by SAMA, and is an empanelled mediator and arbitrator.She has worked in law firms in India and Singapore, and has advised clients on a wide range of matters including contractual and commercial disputes, consumer cases, domestic arbitrations, international commercial arbitrations and investor-treaty disputes.
