As an advocate practicing before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court and Trial courts since the year 2003, I have conducted contentious matters, related to Intellectual Property Rights, contract law, commercial law, insolvency law, sexual harassment/violence, offences against children, matrimonial issues (child custody, maintenance, domestic violence etc). In relation to matrimonial/commercial matters, I also hold experience in appearing before Mediators, Conciliators. My experience as an External Member on various Internal Committee (ICs) of Fortune 500 companies has brought home a considerable amount of experience as an adjudicator of disputes. Few disputes have been managed by me through conciliation process, whereas others adjudicated through a full-fledged Inquiry. I also regularly advise leading educational institutions in Delhi in relation to education, policy formulation and other legal issues. All my aforesaid experience has led me to believe that the true settlement of disputes takes place through conciliation, mediation. Most times, when I have handled matters of huge commercial nature, they have been successful only through compromise measures, rather than a full-fledged court procedure. Matrimonial matters, in my experience are best settled only through mediation. In the present circumstances, the format of ODR is the future forum for settling all contentious issues.
