Neutral Description

A combination of events makes me feel ripe for a party neutral role. Last year (June 2019) I successfully completed training as a mediator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in London. In the process, I got exposed to the nuances of mediation for conflict resolution and the role a trained mediator can play to facilitate a negotiated settlement without any kind of adjudication. The course also made me interact with some accomplished mediators who meditate regularly. Consistent with developments in more advanced jurisdictions, the idea of dealing with contested disputes through mediation awaits a bigger presence in India. I have rich experience as a practicing Senior Advocate with regular appearances before the Courts and other Foras. My wife Mrs. Shalini Shishodia is also a fairly successful mediator at Delhi High Court Mediation Centre. A lot one can do, especially in pandemic times.Enrolled as Advocate in 1984 and designated by Senior Advocate Supreme Court of India in 2008. A general practice in wide variety of cases.
