I’m Lavanya G, an Advocate specialized in International Business & Trade Laws, Founder & Designated Partner at Saham Legal LLP, a Legal design firm engaged in Contract drafting, negotiating & reviewing. I graduated with an LLB degree from the University of Leeds. I earned a Corporate Law certificate from the London School of Economics, which eventually led me to pursue my Master’s in International Trade & Business Laws from the University of California, San Francisco. Telangana’s top footwear retailer has approached Us to negotiate & draft a “Trademark License and Footwear Manufacturing Agreement” with a footwear brand.In the process of negotiations & drafting the Agreement, we conducted a detailed due diligence of the brand where we identified multiple discrepancies with their Trademark ownership which made Us take a deep dive into their company’s profile, and guess what we found out? It was bankrupt, and there were multiple pending litigation cases. We amicably negotiated our Client out of the Agreement, preventing them from a huge loss.
