I believe I can be a good neutral since I have gained the significant experience and exposure to ADR activities through my practical learning via internships and theoretical approaches via studying. Moreover, I believe every person must be a good neutral must be interested in achieving a fruitful result and at the same time maintain the business/personal relationship that has transpired. During my internship at the ADR Center, Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry, I gained significant skills in arbitrator's role as neutral, his obligations regarding independence and impartiality. Moreover, during my internship at the Gujarat State Legal Services Authority, I learnt practically about role of conciliator and mediator and his responsibility of aligning the interests of parties with each other. Further, I also believe that a neutral must engage with parties to understand their expectations of the outcome which may be restricted in a court driven process.
